Data temporality

Important modifications have been made in the management of data temporality. This update does not entail any impact on the reports created previously but offers new possibilities to the user in their creation or modification.

How does the new temporality mode equate to the new?

Old modes

During report configuration, two choices were previously available:

D-X: The report updates between today minus the number of days indicated up to the date in question.

Start date: The report is updated automatically from the selected date until up to the date in question.

Equalising the update

Equalising the systems is done simply as follows:

D-X: Select the data temporality between two dates. Two fields then display:

In the first field, select “relative” and indicate the number of desired days (equivalent of D-X). Leave O as default in the second field.

Start date: Select the data temporality between two dates. Two fields then display:

In the first field, select “set” and indicate your start date. Leave 0 as default in the second field.

Display data for a date

We now offer data display for a “date” in addition to the existing mode “between two dates”. All graphics available will be adapted to this data display (pie chart instead of a curve, for example). Previously, only the “between two dates” mode was available by default and it was necessary to toggle with the calendar to view the data date. .

Display report data of a fixed date

The report data displayed via this mode does not change, no matter what date is consulted. This mode allows you to see a snapshot of a website’s visibility on a set date.

Display data according to relative date

The data collection of tools such as Google Search Console or Google Analytics is carried out in delayed time and not in connection with download Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 the current day as that for the positions is. For example, it is impossible to have the day’s traffic for Google Analytics when the day is not over yet!

To address this problem, we have developed the variable period notion. Thus, we offer you the opportunity to select a “relative” date, i.e. a date which can vary from X days as you choose. For a report dedicated to Google Analytics, we will select the following temporality:

Thus, in our report we will have data from the period between date 1 (D-30) and date two, today minus 1 day (D-1).

A notion of temporality by independent block

In addition to all these developments in temporality at the global report level, we have added a temporality notion by block. This evolution will allow you to display a data block with a different temporality in the same report. The possibilities are multiple because previously all the blocks displayed were guided by the selected mode to the report level.

By default, the block follows the temporality of the report. With a single click, you can change this mode.

Note that the change of temporality offers you the possibility of changing the graphical representation.
