What does SERP mean?

SERP is an acronym used by the SEO community that refers to the Search Engine Results Page.

The SERP tab shows an overview of the data and types of results on the Google results page to allow you to better understand the types of results that make up the page. 

By understanding what types of results are most prominent on the SERP you can adapt your content strategy and change your content to better fit in these types of results.

For example:

If a keyword triggers 5 image results at the top of the page it may be worthwhile to change/ adapt your SEO strategy to ensure that you are ranked within the Image block as an image results as opposed to a text ad.
